Three Springs Fall Festival - This Year’s Halloween Place to Be

Posted on Nov 06, 2009

The Three Springs Fall Festival was very successful with over 700 attending the event!

Parents looking for a great place to entertain the kids on Halloween found everything they needed at the Three Springs Fall Festival held Saturday, October 31st from 11 am until 2pm at Three Springs Plaza. In its third year, the Three Springs Fall Festival boasted new events this year including door to door trick or treating, a coloring contest and Monster Mash Run.

“It’s grown from pumpkins and snacks to a full fledge Halloween bash,” said Mary Gwinn, Neighborhood Services Coordinator at Three Springs. “As Three Springs has grown, so has this event, and we expected a big crowd because parents are thrilled there is something during the day for their kids to do to celebrate Halloween. We were thrilled at the turnout!”

According to Gwinn, the merchants and residents of Three Springs were very involved in this year’s event. Digs Market Cafe hosted a cookie walk, Anytime Fitness hosted the area’s first Monster Mash Run, and there was free hotdogs, popcorn and more at the Tierra Group Model Home. Guests were invited to attend in costume to trick or treat from door to door. There was also a coloring contest this year.

“The Monster Mash Run was as much fun to watch as the kids had being in the race,” said Gwinn. “Anytime Fitness began the races at 11:30 am with race categories in four age groups, where children in costume ran on short courses around Three Springs Plaza.”

Live music in the Plaza by the Kitchen Jam Band, face painting, potato sack races, a bouncy house, and more provided something for children of all ages.
